On July 21, the “2022 Shanghai Top 100 Hardcore Technology Enterprises Ranking” was released at the Shanghai Industrial Technology Innovation Conference under the theme “Innovation as the Main Engine, New Drivers for Development.” Techsun, recognized as a National “Little Giant” Enterprise and a Shanghai Municipal Enterprise Technology Center, was honored to be included in the ranking.

Hardcore technology represents cutting-edge technology within high-tech fields and serves as a beacon for future industrial development. To cultivate and strengthen hardcore technology enterprises, drive innovation breakthroughs in future industries, and establish a benchmark for industrial innovation, under the guidance of the Shanghai Municipal Commission of Economy and Informatization, the Shanghai Industrial Technology Innovation Promotion Association conducted research on the innovation index of hardcore technology enterprises and established an evaluation indicator system. At the conference, the Association, together with the Shanghai Association for Science and Technology, Lingang Group, and other organizations, released the “2022 Shanghai Top 100 Hardcore Technology Enterprises Ranking.”

The evaluation covered 1,993 enterprises, including the city’s national and municipal enterprise technology centers, listed companies, top 100 emerging industry enterprises, top 100 private manufacturing enterprises, and enterprises undertaking major municipal science and technology projects. Hardcore technology enterprises are mainly concentrated in the “3+6” industrial system, with 53 enterprises in the three leading industries, 85 enterprises in the six key industries, and 37% of enterprises listed on the main board, STAR Market, or other stock exchanges.

After more than 20 years of development, Shanghai has formed a three-tier innovation network of enterprise technology centers, led by 93 national-level centers, supported by 732 municipal-level centers, and underpinned by 1,923 district-level centers. Among STAR Market-listed companies, national “Little Giant” enterprises, top 100 manufacturing enterprises, and recipients of science and technology awards, 80% of each group own enterprise technology centers.
